A-Z Challenge Guide

Wow. Finally here. It felt like it would take forever when I signed up months ago, but the A-Z challenge starts tomorrow.

I must say that the idea of posting six days a week isn't that intimidating to me. I usually post Monday to Friday, so adding the Saturday in shouldn't be such a problem.

For me, the challenge lies in getting to all of the people involved at least once.

While I'm finishing my rewrite.

Yep. I really am going to try doing both.

Scary thought, I know. But... I suspect not impossible.

All I have to do is try my best to hit 33 blogs a day. Easy, right. ;-)

But, this means that I won't be doing click backs this month as I really won't have the time. I'm really sorry about this, but I just can't sacrifice my writing this month. And that's really what it would mean if I have to go to about fifty blogs or more (I have about 20 comments a day right now).

I promise I'll be a good girl and comment back in May. Pinkie swear.

OK... that's just the admin end of it. I'm sort of hoping that you are dying to know what I'm going to blogging about... Well then... My theme is:

*Drumroll*

Writing and Literary Considerations.

Yep. Nothing all that different, except it won't be quite as me-orientated. (Say aw.)

But I'll be giving 25 posts on my view about thoughts and considerations that most of us (fantasy?) writers seem to have. The twenty sixth will be posted by me, but will be written by someone else. On: G-day. So I don't see it as cheating.

Also, Drawing map day has been moved to M-day so that I can have more time to do the drawing.

Finally, (and I will repeat this next week for those who didn't read this far) if you want a map, but lack any sort of artistic ability, this coming week will be a good time to contact me. More on that tomorrow.

Who else is doing the A-Z Challenge? What's your plan to get through it?

To those of you who are, good luck! See you on the other side. ;-)

I look forward to reading your posts, Misha! I'm doing the A-Z Challenge too. I have no real theme to mine. I'm doing my normal schedule with some things added. Next year, I'll get a theme. *grins* My blog posts are set and ready to go. Yeah, I'm such a planner. It should be a lot of fun, and everyone expects it to be rather crazy this month. :)

My plan was to write all my posts ahead of time and preschedule them. Yeah, didn't happen. I'm also sticking to writing related posts.

Good luck!

This is my first blog challenge. I'm going to write about my movie memories. Each day I will feature a movie that impacted my life in some way.

(waves hand madly) I'm doing the challenge! My theme...no matter how bizarre the word may be, each post will be related to writing.

Yikes! I need to catch up. Not sure about the blog challenge.

It seems a lot of people have writing as their theme! I though about doing the same, but decided that most of (but not all) of mine would relate to science; besides writing, that's another one of my passions. Hopefully I don't bore people. :P

Looking forward to your posts!

I am doing the challenge too! On Friday I am doing the #fridayflash challenges with the character of the day, on Monday I post memories, the rest of the days don't have themes yet :)

I do know I will use all my creative outlets for a to z :)

Look forward to reading all your posts!

Hi there Misha,
Judging by the 'blog roll' on my shy and humble site, a lot of you are doing the 'A to Z' challenge. I wish you and everyone doing it, much fun. Now me, I've already learnt the alphabet :)
Have a good weekend.
In kindness, Gary :)

Thirty three blogs a day, I feel weak just thinking about it. Good Luck!

I just signed up for the challenge today. I've made a list of topics starting from A-Z. I post prose from the pros on Fridays, so I already went through and found poets and one of their poems to post on those days. I've also gone through and created writing related topics or used topics with corresponding letters to inspire short short fiction pieces for all but 6 letters. I might have to get up early every day just to get through this challenge. My fingers are crossed. Good luck with your challenge.

Writing comes first, Misha. Your own writing, Misha. I'm going to try to get to as many blogs as I can, but I suspect the world will keep turning if I don't!

I think it's fascinating that you live in South Africa. I'd like to know more about that so if you get an opportunity to squeeze something in on your A-Z challenge please do so.

Hi Misha!

So glad to see you'll be participating in the A-Z Challenge; I'll be Challenging (and rewriting) right alongside you :D I like your topic for the challenge. As for me, I sat down today and wrote out the first thing that popped in my head for every letter. Don't know if there's any rhyme or reason to it, but it should be interesting!

You know, the more I think about it, I think the real challenge of this challenge IS the getting around to all the participants. Have you SEEN the list? It just keeps growing and growing!

Have a great weekend and WRITE ON!
Jen

I'm doing the challenge too and started my commenting one day early, going for 30 comments in a day (Might have to double that on Sundays and my days off from work to catch everyone once through though!)

I look forward to seeing your entries! I'm starting my letters to the letters tomorrow. Or in 45 minutes, if I'm still awake at midnight. ;)

Ditto Michael. The first time I clued in that you were from South Africa was hearing you say good morning on Twitter when I was going to bed. That's saying something since being in California I'm usually always hearing good night.

Stay hydrated doing those rewrites and commenting. Not gunna lie, it sounds grueling.

Haha Cherie, I'm totally impressed by your skills of organization. Good luck with the challenge!

Haha Dan, I'm better at improvising, any way. ;-)

Luana that's an awesome idea! I love movies, so I'll enjoy your posts. :-)

Nice Bish! Good luck. :-)

Haha Em, it's huge. There are already 975 entrants.

That will make for an interesting read, Golden. :-)

Sounds like you have a plan, Sylvia. Good luck! :-)

Haha Gary. Thanks for stopping by. :-)

Thanks Carole. :-D

Laura, that's a great idea! See you down the line. ;-)

Absolutely, Ann. I write 1k words before I even think about blogging. That way, I'm covered until my writing is done. :-)

Michael, I'm not so sure how I'll squeeze South Africa in. But I will definitely do some posts for you about it in May. ;-)

Jen, random is good. There is beauty in chaos. :-P

Jeffrey, I decided that I'll aim to get to 1000 blogs. Anything beyond that mark is a bonus. But I can't plan around such rapidly changing numbers... (So the goal is now 40 blogs a day.)

Did you start at midnight, after all, Laura?

Lol Steph, it's going to be about pacing and priorities... I should be able to make it if I keep my wits. ;-)

Already my plans are getting dashed. But a plan is good and the first day will probably be busy than the next 30.

Contrary to my usual practice of subscribing to comments, to save time during challenge I will not be doing so during April. If you want to respond to my comment , please email me directly from your email notification for the comment.
Thanks.
