Insecure Writer's Support Group: Tired

It's the first Wednesday of November (which I still can't believe), which means it's time for me to join that famous bloghop for insecure writers everywhere, the Insecure Writer's Support Group.

So 1 November means it's time for NaNoWriMo, and not a year has passed since 2010 where I haven't taken part. Which means that yeah, I'm definitely doing that.

(I'm also doing a blog and vlog series to help with NaNo, if you need an extra dose of help and encouragement. This week's vlog post will follow immediately after this one.)

But in typical Misha style, it's 1 November and my month has already been screwed before it was even noon.

So I don't know how I'm going to do NaNo this year. It's been hard enough to be creative this year so far, and now my life has dialed the intensity up to an 11.

What about you? Doing NaNo? Feeling the pressure yet/already?

  1. Methinks you've learned how to operate pretty well at an 11. Best wishes for success in ALL of you goals this month!

  2. I am feeling pressure, but first drafts do that to me. I'd rather edit. But I'm in it to win it this month!

    1. I also find edits easier. Everything's already there and I just have to make it shine. ^_^

      Best of luck!

  5. Wishing you lots of luck with NaNo. You're a pro at this so you'll catch up, even if the start was a bit shaky. Take good care. Have fun!

  8. Sorry to hear the month is already being difficult. Hope things improve soon.

There was one NaNoWriMo year where, because of life being extra difficult, I didn't get get started until November 10th. And somehow, I still managed to pull out a win.

  9. Hope everything works out soon! I've never succeeded at NaNo but I've really only tried once. One of these days I'll give it a real try.

    1. Yeah it might be difficult for you now when you seem to be refining something instead of creating something new. On the other hand, I'm editing and rewriting for my NaNo this year, so if in doubt, rebel. :-D

    1. Thanks! I try my best. I just realized a while back that I can't slow down every time something goes wrong, or I'll never get something done.

  11. Sounds like you really have a role in NaNo. That's awesome and I'm guessing you'll find a way to manage it. Yes I feel stressed. It's after 9:00, and I haven't finished reading blogs for the day. Sigh.

    1. I know that feeling. At the moment, I'm back in survival mode and doing only what I can to get through the day, because I don't need extra stress right now.

  13. I considered doing Nano for a YA I'm rewriting, but I wasn't feeling good earlier this week, so I never made a decision.

    Good luck with your NaNo.

    1. Yeah it's not really something to embark on when you're not feeling good.

  16. I'm feeling pressure to write my blog but not to complete NaNoWriMo. Ugh. I don't know how you NaNo writers do it! I wish you the best of luck in completing your goals this month!

    With Love,

  17. That's why I've never done NaNo. My Novembers are always dialed up to 11.

  18. No NaNo for me, thanks. But I might take a blogging break to focus on a new novel.
