Tired

Today's one of those days where I'm just pretty much feeling mindless.

You get them too?

You know the ones.

I wanted to go watch Iron Man III, but didn't get the chance. Now I have it, but I just can't be bothered to go out.

Or I'm waiting for my editor's report on my book, so I should be writing, but I just don't feel like it.

So I'm reading instead.

Except I don't feel like reading anymore either.

...

Time to go veg out then, I guess.

  1. I get days like these too. I think you just have to ride them out and pick up your pen/book/whatever it is you can't motivate yourself to do the next day. Or the day after that.

We all need to veg out now and then.

  2. Oh yes, I get days like that. I do find watching mindless TV works well in that situation - and chocolate! Hope tomorrow goes better :-)

  3. I'm feeling that today. That's why I'm glad I'm back to my posting every other day schedule. I need a day in between to recover.

  4. Some days a bit of nothing to recharge and refocus are needed. I don't get many of those days. For me, always something that needs to be done. :)

  7. Ah, you're in that place where you've emptied your cup and you're waiting for the rain to refill it. Don't worry, it will, and sometimes you just need a day off. And Iron Man III was a ton of fun.

  9. Mama said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this my mama said...

You had so much on your plate for April, if it were me, I'd not see the light of day until August.

  10. Ah, those moments I'm familiar with. For me, they're best spent filling the creative well with a nice, peaceful walk in our woods out back. Hope the bluesy day passes soon.

  11. I hear you!

Why is that the days when there's time to write, there's no energy for it? And on the days when there's no time, the ideas are brimming over.

  13. All our brains need those down times sometimes. I think it shows we are exercising them well and you're clearly doing that!

  24. Sometimes I find myself in reading slumps, writing ones too. I organize the home, go for walks, and get lost in movies and music.

  29. Oh wow, somewhere back there I missed your big news about selling Doorways. HUGE congratulations, that's incredible! And yes, editing is the *fun* bit, I've only just been through it so it's fresh in my mind.... :-) Hope it all goes wonderfully smoothly for you, and apologies if I'm months and months late with my congratulations. I've been blog-absent...
