You get them too?
You know the ones.
I wanted to go watch Iron Man III, but didn't get the chance. Now I have it, but I just can't be bothered to go out.
Or I'm waiting for my editor's report on my book, so I should be writing, but I just don't feel like it.
So I'm reading instead.
Except I don't feel like reading anymore either.
...
Time to go veg out then, I guess.
I get days like these too. I think you just have to ride them out and pick up your pen/book/whatever it is you can't motivate yourself to do the next day. Or the day after that.
ReplyDeleteWe all need to veg out now and then.
Oh yes, I get days like that. I do find watching mindless TV works well in that situation - and chocolate! Hope tomorrow goes better :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling that today. That's why I'm glad I'm back to my posting every other day schedule. I need a day in between to recover.
ReplyDeleteSome days a bit of nothing to recharge and refocus are needed. I don't get many of those days. For me, always something that needs to be done. :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes you have ti veg out. Even writers need a break.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate,
Shelly
I feel a bit like that at the moment. Hard to focus!

ReplyDeleteAh, you're in that place where you've emptied your cup and you're waiting for the rain to refill it. Don't worry, it will, and sometimes you just need a day off. And Iron Man III was a ton of fun.
Do whatever you want to do, the day is yours.
ReplyDeleteMama said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this my mama said...
ReplyDeleteYou had so much on your plate for April, if it were me, I'd not see the light of day until August.

Ah, those moments I'm familiar with. For me, they're best spent filling the creative well with a nice, peaceful walk in our woods out back. Hope the bluesy day passes soon.
ReplyDeleteI hear you!
ReplyDeleteWhy is that the days when there's time to write, there's no energy for it? And on the days when there's no time, the ideas are brimming over.
Had that day yesterday. And a bit of it today, though I did get a few things accomplished...but my post is kinda about this, too, today.
ReplyDeleteAll our brains need those down times sometimes. I think it shows we are exercising them well and you're clearly doing that!
ReplyDeleteI think it's all the post writing of the A to Z, THE THE REFLECTION post, have a day off and putt your feet up and relax.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
We all have days like that. Enjoy the break, I say.
ReplyDeleteI feel that kind of listlessness today. Sucks.
ReplyDeleteI get like that. Relaxing is good sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI've felt like that more often than not lately. Must. get. over. it. Ugh. I hope you had some good veg time.

Iron Man 3 is good... go watch it:) Full of action. Hope you feel better soon and ready to take on any edits coming you way:)
ReplyDeleteI do feel that way at times. Sleeping more helps.
ReplyDeleteCheese. You need some cheese. ;)
ReplyDeleteI too am feeling a bit dull due to the virus I have. Take rest Misha.
ReplyDeleteOh, I get those days--today's one of 'em!!!! Take a break, relax and give your mind some time to breathe. You deserve it :)
ReplyDeleteI get those days more often than I'd like to admit! :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I find myself in reading slumps, writing ones too. I organize the home, go for walks, and get lost in movies and music.
ReplyDeleteCommenting is my version of vegging out. :)
ReplyDeleteVeg out moments are a necessary part of a well balanced life...
ReplyDeleteAt least I tell myself that
I think we all have days where we just need to recharge. It means we're human!
ReplyDeleteYep, totally know this feeling. But I'm just generally out of sorts anyway. Blah.

Oh wow, somewhere back there I missed your big news about selling Doorways. HUGE congratulations, that's incredible! And yes, editing is the *fun* bit, I've only just been through it so it's fresh in my mind.... :-) Hope it all goes wonderfully smoothly for you, and apologies if I'm months and months late with my congratulations. I've been blog-absent...
ReplyDeletegosh I have days like that too. Some chocolate and tea might perk you up!
