It sounds weird, I know, but I guess I'm still recovering from the tough times.
Because that's the thing with stress. Even when the stressor is gone, the effect remains. But thanks to Alex being really awesome and featuring me and my blog, I've been able to bounce back enough to start thinking positive again.
See yesterday was Good Friday. And while I was moping and going through the motions, I have to admit that I'd missed the point. (I did send up quite a few prayers, though.)
But today, my mind's been cleared and I thought I'd share some nice positive thoughts. (And I'm going to expand on my Good Friday thoughts here.)
So my positive vibes for everyone (regardless of faith or creed):
1) Things are never so bad that there's not one good thing you can hold on to.
2) We all have the ability to move past the bad things that happen to us. But it is a choice. If you keep looking back to mope, you're going to keep stumbling and it's going to take you down again. Look forward. Smile. Move on.
3) There is ALWAYS hope. Always. Find it.
Well that's it from me. Except to wish everyone who celebrates a blessed Easter/Passover. Seeya all on Tuesday, if all goes well.
Looking forward is a choice - but one that can be very hard to make during difficult times. So glad you've moved on from yesterday's negative feelings. Hope they stay behind you.
ReplyDeleteThat's how you do it! Happy Easter to you, Misha.
ReplyDeleteNow that's the attitude!
ReplyDeleteHappy to feature you and hope it added some cheer to your day.
And have a great Easter.
There is always something for which to be thankful. Sometimes we just have to stretch for it.
ReplyDeleteIf you can get into the writing groove, and a new project ready for publication, the struggling experience, valuable as it can be, will be long behind you. Keep moving forward as best you can!
ReplyDeleteI totAlly agreed.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Misha!!
ReplyDeleteThings always gets better (eventually).

Love the positive spin.
ReplyDeleteHope is stronger than we think. It's a great thing to hold onto. Great advice!
ReplyDeleteA blessed Easter to you too! And I love your advice here. Moving forward and making a choice to keep on is really important.
ReplyDeleteGood Post!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent advice. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Misha - life has its ups and downs - we then get to appreciate being positive and realise that there is so much positive even from the negatives .. strange world - but oh so true ...
ReplyDeleteHave a good relaxing Easter Monday .. and feel easier soon ... re geology - the rock formations I saw in Namibia were quite extraordinary .. though those in South Africa are truly amazing too ...
Cheers and all the best - Hilary
Perhaps you can use all the bad and channel it into your writing. I've had a lot of bad in my life, and that's what I did. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteThese are great reminders, Misha. I hope you had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Misha!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you at my blog today! I was SHOCKED to find that Alex mentioned me on his blog. I JUST started reading blogs again and commented on his Saturday. That's how he found my new place! Talk about the right place at the right time!
Thank you for these thoughts. They are wonderful! And you're so right: there is ALWAYS hope!
I hope things continue to look up for you and continue getting better! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great Easter!
Cheers!
Jen
I agree with the thought "Look forward, smile and move on." Things will get better eventually.
ReplyDeleteLove your attitude.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Misha!
I love your three positive thoughts, Misha. Inspiring, true, and important to always try and remember. Great new attitude! Hope you had a grew Easter and weekend. ;)
ReplyDeletegreat* not grew :-/
DeleteHope is the life-spring of action. Great thoughts. You have to focus on the good if you want it to grow in your life. It's whichever force or attitude you feed that grows. I'm wishing you nothing but awesomeness going forward, Misha.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back to being positive! Hope you had a good Easter and wonderful rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteLove those thoughts! There is always something positive, and once you can find it, you're golden. Keep the good vibes coming in the Universe. :) (Did that sound like a bunch of hippy mumbo jumbo?)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Easter. Great positive thoughts there. Sometimes it really is hard to remember the good things, but it helps so much to focus there instead of on what is wrong. This is the time of year for new life. Time to shed the old and start moving in a positive direction.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Mischa!
ReplyDeleteMy brother was 46 when he died of cancer. I didn't think there was a single positive thing about that, but he told me the day he died that he was the lucky one...he'd never have to bury someone he loved and feel the pain of loss like the rest of us were. What a guy. No wonder Heaven wanted him!
ReplyDeleteYes, hope is always accessible, when we chose it. Thanks for this profound message, Misha.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
xoRobyn

Indeed the choice is ours...hang on or move on. Both can be beneficial, but moving on is always where we want to go.
