And then I visit those who comment on my blogs too, and any new followers. But obviously now that this will be impossible, I will have to make this a priority. :-)

Golden, I also did that - drawing the line at 13 hours, but then I realized how many people's blogs I regularly miss because of it...

Lol Blogs, I will let you know. But then, I always derail my best laid plans. ;-)

Anne, if you have google reader, you can sort your blogs into files. I knew this, but I need to work out how to sort the blogs so that I get round to everyone... :-)

I agree with you there, SM. I also divided into agents/industry blogs, book blogs, writing advice, creative writers and writers' blogs. Only thing is, the writers' blogs number in the hundreds. I need to figure out a way to get to them without killing myself trying. :-)

Hahaha I know what you mean Lynda. I usually don't even plan my lunch. :-)

It did help. Thanks Thereasa! :-D

Thanks LB. :-)

I used to do that too, Laura. But I need to follow lots of people and take part in their discussions if I am to grow this blog... :-) After all, I want people to come back to my blog, so I have to go back to theirs.

You make a good point Shayda. But there are so many exciting blogs. *cries* ;-)Misha Gerrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06364173848456424521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190412120537448720.post-27725121808101761402011-02-23T06:07:36.055+02:002011-02-23T06:07:36.055+02:00My system WAS comment on as many as possible, alon...My system WAS comment on as many as possible, along with those that regularly comment on my blog. Because I love my bloggy friends!

Since starting graduate school and interning, it's looking a lot more like this: "Dang. Six hundred seventy-three unread posts? I should probably work on my critical essays...."

Yeah. I've been ignoring the blogsphere lately, even though it hurts me.

But! New approach: no more than a half hour a day. Grab my bloggy peeps first, and hit a few blogs that look exciting and fun. Sometimes, you've got to cut your losses (and keep your sanity!). If you feel yourself being spread too thin, don't be afraid to cut back.

And yeah. My heart goes out to all the folks in New Zealand. :/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06089845691023125664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190412120537448720.post-39482529548513492632011-02-23T03:49:11.293+02:002011-02-23T03:49:11.293+02:00At the moment, I currently follow 23 blogs. I see it as reading the newspaper with my morning coffee. Except I don't drink coffee. I wish you luck with whatever system you come up with, 400 blogs is a bit daunting.Laura M. Or I'll skim a lot of them and find the posts by certain bloggers. Most of the time I don't miss any posts I really want to read and I find it easier than Google Reader.Golden Eaglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08721520451194318436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5190412120537448720.post-83446075914569203192011-02-22T20:40:13.085+02:002011-02-22T20:40:13.085+02:00I'm still trying to work out my own system, bu...I'm still trying to work out my own system, but I think a good place to start is to visit the followers who comment on your posts - like a link back.

Then it gets tougher. If you use google reader you can end up only commenting on the newest posts. You could use your dashboard, but again the same thing happens. The other option is to go into the 'manage' section of the blogs you follow and concentrate on a different letter of the alphabet each week i.e. blogs starting with m one week.

Just a few suggestions. Not sure if any of them are the answer!Ellie Garratthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03731071128348213067noreply@blogger.com
