Sometimes, I think I'm turning into a terrible blogger.

It's not really my fault, though. Until Monday, I've been running around like a crazy person trying to get the final versions of my books submitted so that I can send them out to my reviewers.

Once that was done, I couldn't sit down and write this, because I have a boatload of guest posts and interviews to do. (At least three a week for five weeks starting Monday.) So yeah. Things are still hectic on my end.

So much so that I *might* have succeeded in giving myself an ulcer.

Sigh.

No worries, though. I've just sent out the blog post for the Friday after next. The books are in. My proof copies for paperbacks are ordered. The review copies are out.  I've made the person who I dedicated the second book to cry on her birthday.

Life's good.

Even better, I submitted finals exactly twenty-six days before my release date. You know what that means? Yup. A to Z.

I'm posting excerpts on my tumblr blog.  Two a day, each corresponding to the letter corresponding. If you'd like to check that out, go here

I'm also doing a check-up on my 2015 goals on my other blog.

After that, it's time for me to visit some awesome bloggers again.

What are you up to?

  1. Glad it's all coming together! The final post for my tour was this week, so I know what you mean about writing a lot of guest posts.

  2. It's called juggling while wearing many hats. Hang in there and continue to do the best you're able!

  3. Good for you Misha! I know it's been tough for you on a couple of fronts and to know that you have reached some goals and are getting to a point where you can breathe a bit, all helps to make the world a better place.

    Keep up the excellent work!

  4. Releases and book tours are always crazy. You sound like you're managing yours well... even if you did make someone cry and potentially gave yourself an ulcer. ;)

Hang in there! This is the hard part, sure, but the fun part is just around the corner - everyone enjoying the fruits of your hard labor.

  5. I just got back from traveling for funeral services. Now I'm getting caught up on emails and getting ready to edit for clients.

  6. It sounds like you've been pretty busy! But I think you've managed it well - book tours/guest blogging is always a bit stressful, but now you've done the hard bit you can sit back and relax :)...kind of...

I'm trying to keep the momentum up for my own blog tour at the moment, so I'm finding that I'm doing a lot of work on my blog, but not a lot of writing! Which is unfortunate as I've finally got that urge to write again. after about three months of nothing.

  7. Wow, you are so busy. I hope you find a few moments to rest. But everything is coming together! You must be so excited. Wishing you the best.

  8. I'm halfway taking a blogging break - hosting guests and such and visiting at a slower rate - while working on two projects at once, visiting with family, planning a vacation, and creating facebook and twitter posts that are pre-scheduled, which feels weird to me.
One of my big plans is that I'll be at a book fair in Portland, Oregon in a few weeks and I'm kind of nervous about that one.

  9. You have been busy!!! Blogging taking a backseat is totally understandable. I find your use of Tumblr for promotion intriguing. I'll have to check it out.

  10. Oh my goodness! No wonder you may have an ulcer. I would, too.

  11. I think I got an ulcer just reading about all that activity :) Keep going, Misha, you're doing great!

  12. Sorry about the ulcer; hope you feel better. You do sound busy, so it's understandable if you can't blog as often. I haven't been blogging as much either, partly due to blogger's block and partly due to distractions from job-hunting, etc.

  13. You're not turning into a terrible blogger, just a busy writer. The few months leading into publishing a book and after are usually the busiest. So it'll calm down after a while.

  14. Sounds like you're doing really well. Sure it's all hectic and hard work now, but it's all worth it.

P.S. Thanks for the review copies. I'm just starting The Vanished Knight today. :-)

  15. Hi Blogoratti. Thanks for stopping by. :-)

Alex, so far, it wasn't all that hard to write, but it is something that takes a lot of time.

Thanks for the advice, Terry. I often do need the exact reminder you gave me.

Thanks Bish. Yeah I'm glad to say that this month at least, it does feel like I'm making progress.

Hi Beer Guys! Better news yet is that the ulcer-y feeling is going away, so things seem to be looking up.

Sounds like you have an even fuller schedule than me, Kelly. ;-)

Hahaha Rachel I'm in the exact same boat. I know I should be focusing on my blogging at present, but really I just want to write. Sigh.

    I'm super excited, Murees. :-)

I hope you have a great time with the Conference, Tyrean. All the best with the rest of your to-do list.

    Sheri, I hope you weren't disappointed. ;-)

Shelly, it's annoying. Usually, I'm really good at handling pressure, and then suddenly something like this happens, revealing that actually, I'm just good at hiding how much I want to freak out.

Thanks Ian. Enjoy your time away.

I hope the job-hunt's going well, Workaholic.

Cherie, I'm relieved to hear you say so. ;-)

I hope you're enjoying it, Click.

  16. I think you can definitely cut yourself some slack when you're in the midst of putting a book out there. I'm in the same position and blogging has taken quite a hit as a result: there aren't enough hours in the day!!

Hope it all goes well :) And best of luck with those review copies!!

  17. Holy mackerel! You're inspiring. I love the excerpts, the look of the books, your drive.

  18. Wow! I give you a lot of credit. My writing has been falling to the wayside since I've started to get more involved in my blogging. Where has all my time gone that I used to have?
